Gympie Regional Solar Centre started with humble beginnings back in 2010, it was a new and exciting project for Deirdre Gray owner and founder of the business.
After 10 years in the real estate industry here in Gympie, Deirdre decided that a change was in order, so began the small home office of Gympie Regional Solar Centre.
With her Partner Jeff Hogue also known from Jeff Hogue’s Plumbing Service that has been servicing the Gympie area for over 25 years. Solar Hot Water was a very easy start already having an accredited installer in the family.
Then came the PV (roof mounted) Solar Systems - both Deirdre & Jeff spent a number of days travelling to the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane for training on both the products available and the installation processes.
The Business grew so quickly that Deirdre then affiliated with another Solar Company on the Sunshine Coast.
By the end of 2011 the business was growing so much that Deirdre decided to move it into an office located at 27 Station Rd, Gympie. This was also when the business was no longer affiliated and became an identity in its own right. Deirdre and Jeff were completing up to 4 PV Solar installs a week and this is also when they became the Local Apricus Solar Hot Water dealers.
February 2012 saw the business move to its current location 66 Mellor Street, Gympie .
With the Business expanding at a rapid rate and now also supplying not only Solar Hot Water & Solar PV Systems, but also Hybrid Solar Air Conditioners, Solar Fridges, Cellini Fire Places, and Recreational Solar Setups, they needed a larger office and storage area.
Deirdre & Jeff have kept Gympie Regional Solar Centre & Jeff Hogue’s Plumbing a family businesses with both businesses not only having a number of Employee’s but both businesses employee Deidre & Jeff’s Children.
Gympie Regional Solar Centre has seen such growth of the past 3 years that on 1st November 2012 it moved into the company name of Gympie Solar Centre Pty Ltd. Deirdre has strived to provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge and the results of the past 3 years and the growth of the business just goes to show what Local knowledge and outstanding customer service can do.
